Google today officially launched its new AI subscription plan called Google AI Plus in India. The company has been providing two premium plans in the Gemini app, namely Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra. The introduction of the new Google AI Plus plan aims to offer more features at a more affordable cost. This plan comes with an introductory offer price and a wide range of features. Let’s explore what this new Google AI Plus subscription entails and the benefits it offers.
The Google AI Plus plan is available at an attractive price, starting at ₹199 per month for the first six months, followed by ₹399 per month.
Given the rising demand for AI services, this pricing is highly competitive.
One of the key highlights of the Google AI Plus plan is access to the powerful Gemini 3 Pro model.
This AI model is ideal for serious research, high-quality analysis, and complex content creation. Users can make fuller use of premium AI features, including in-depth research.
Another major feature is the Nano Make Pro tool, which is powered by Gemini 3 Pro.
This tool allows users to convert text into images, enhance images, and perform AI-based creative editing.
Subscribers to Google AI Plus will receive 200 AI credits every month in the Flow and Whisk apps.
These apps use the Veo 3.1 Fast model, which makes it quick and efficient to create short videos, reels, scripts, and other visual content.
AI Plus users also get all the premium features of NotebookLM, including audio overviews, research, and writing.
These features are not available to free users, making this plan especially beneficial for researchers and writers.
Gemini AI can be directly used in Google Docs, Gmail, and Google Vids.
This makes tasks like writing emails, summarizing documents, creating scripts, and more much more straightforward. The AI Plus plan includes 200GB of cloud storage for Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail, which is significantly more than the 15GB provided to free users, making it an excellent option for those who store large amounts of data.
When comparing the free AI plan with the premium options, free users get limited access to Gemini, lower AI usage limits, and only 100 AI credits.
The AI Plus plan offers a better model, double the credits, and additional storage. It also comes at a lower price than the AI Pro and AI Ultra plans. For reference, AI Pro is priced at ₹1,950 per month (with 1,000 AI credits and 2TB storage), and AI Ultra is priced at ₹24,500 per month (with 25,000 credits and 30TB storage). While these premium plans are suitable for developers and high-end applications, the AI Plus plan is more than sufficient for regular users.
Google AI Plus is positioned as a direct competitor to the free ChatGPT Go plan, which is already available in India.
Although ChatGPT Go offers extended access based on GPT-5, it lacks the cloud storage that Google provides. The Google AI Plus plan has made AI usage more convenient and affordable in India. Features like access to Gemini 3 Pro, increased AI credits, premium NotebookLM features, and 200GB of storage make this plan an appealing option for both regular users and content creators.
